“We’re excited about the T20 WC”: New Zealand assistant coach McMillan

New Zealand assistant coach Luke McMillan has expressed excitement about the upcoming T20 World Cup, saying the team is well-prepared and looking forward to the challenge.

The Black Caps are one of the favorites for the tournament, which will be held in Australia from October 16 to November 13.

McMillan said the team has been working hard in the lead-up to the World Cup and is confident in its ability to perform.

"We've had a good preparation," McMillan said. "The guys have been working hard and we're starting to gel as a team. We're excited about the challenge and we're confident we can do well."

New Zealand is in Group 1 of the Super 12 stage of the World Cup, along with England, Australia, Afghanistan, and two qualifiers.

The Black Caps will open their campaign against Australia on October 22 in Sydney.

McMillan said the team is looking forward to playing in front of a home crowd in Australia.

"It's always great to play in front of your home crowd," McMillan said. "We're expecting a lot of support from our fans and we're hoping to make them proud."

New Zealand has a strong record in T20 cricket, having won the World Cup in 2007 and 2015.

The Black Caps will be looking to add to their trophy cabinet when they compete in the T20 World Cup in Australia.
